“Water to Wine to Winning”
📖 Scripture
“Then He told them, ‘Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.’ They did so, and the water had been turned into wine.”
— John 2:8–9 (MSG)
🔥 Real Talk
Jesus’ first miracle wasn’t healing the sick or raising the dead. It was saving somebody’s reputation at a wedding. That’s right — wine ran out, and Jesus stepped in.
Sometimes the miracle is God covering what could’ve embarrassed you.
🗣️ What Had Happen Was…
So there’s this wedding in Cana, and they straight up run outta wine mid-reception. That’s a whole social disaster in their culture.
Mary (Jesus’ mama) gives Him that look.
He’s like, “My time hasn’t come yet.”
She’s like, “Do whatever He tells you.”
Jesus tells the servants, “Fill the jars with water.”
They do.
Then He says, “Now go pour some for the host.”
They do — and bam! It’s wine.
Not just any wine. Top shelf.
What started as a moment of embarrassment turned into a moment of elevation.
That’s Jesus: flipping potential shame into celebration.
🚶🏽 Puttin’ it in Action
Think of an area where you’ve “run out” — energy, confidence, ideas, resources. Ask God to refill it in a way that glorifies Him and keeps your dignity intact.
💡 What This Really Means
God doesn’t just fix stuff — He levels it up. He’ll preserve your purpose and protect your name.
